1" Overlay

A 1” overlay means a cabinet’s drawers and doors will extend one inch past the frame. This gives an especially even look to the surface of cabinets because the frame is almost entirely covered up by the drawer fronts and cabinet doors. The 1/2″ overlay is the more classic option since the smaller doors and drawer faces help to save on material costs, but recently the 1” overlay has been gaining in popularity because of its more streamlined look.
