Are RTA cabinets DIY-friendly?

Yes. Our Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) cabinets are designed with DIY customers in mind. Each cabinet comes with clear, step-by-step instructions, along with access to detailed YouTube assembly videos that walk you through the entire process.

For assembly, you'll typically need basic tools such as a hammer, cordless drill or screwdriver, pneumatic nail gun, wood glue (optional), and a rubber mallet. Our cabinets are built with solid construction capable of supporting heavy countertop materials.

Can your RTA cabinets support granite or concrete countertops?

Absolutely. All of our RTA cabinets feature reinforced construction engineered to handle the weight of heavy surfaces, including granite, quartz, marble, and concrete. Their structural strength ensures long-term stability and reliable performance.

Are cabinet interiors finished to match the exterior?

All cabinets include finished interiors; however, the interior finish may not always match the face frame or exterior color. This varies by cabinet style. Specific interior finish details are listed in the Features section of each cabinet style page.

Do I need end panels for a finished appearance?

Most of our cabinet collections come with finished side panels and do not require additional end panels. Some lines, however, use a universal cabinet box with unfinished sides, making end panels necessary for a completed look.

Each product page clearly indicates whether end panels are required and includes images showing both finished and unfinished sides. Typically, the first product image displays the fully finished cabinet.

Do you recommend professional assembly?

While our RTA cabinets are designed for straightforward DIY assembly, we recommend professional installation if you're not comfortable using basic tools or want the best possible alignment and finish. Professional assembly can help ensure optimal results, especially for larger or more complex projects.

Is glue required during assembly?

Wood glue is optional for most cabinet styles. Certain specialty cabinet lines do require glue, and this will be clearly noted in the assembly instructions or video guides. Even when not required, some customers choose to use glue for added strength-it's entirely your preference.

Do base cabinets require toe kicks?

Yes. Toe kicks are recommended for all base cabinets, including styles with a built-in toe kick. During assembly, the cabinet fronts are typically nailed, which may leave visible seams.

To achieve a clean, seamless finish, we suggest installing a toe kick skin (commonly 8 feet long) using construction adhesive. This helps conceal gaps and gives your cabinetry a polished, professional appearance.

What's the best way to install crown molding?

Crown molding is best installed using a brad nailer or finish nailer, securing it to a mounting strip (often called a starter rail) attached to the top of the wall cabinets. This method allows for easier positioning and cleaner results.

For added durability, use wood glue or construction adhesive, and take care to measure and miter cuts accurately for tight, professional-looking corners.

We currently sell cabinets only and do not offer countertops for purchase. Any granite, quartz, marble, or other countertop materials shown in our images or videos are for design inspiration only.

Our cabinets are constructed using plywood cabinet boxes paired with solid wood doors and face frames, providing superior durability, structural strength, and resistance to moisture and warping.
