Cam Lock

The cam lock was invented in 1985 and is used often in modern cabinet construction as well as windows, drawers, and filing cabinets. Usually, cam locks are made up of a component that rotates 90 or 180 degrees when a key or screw is inserted. When the pieces are fitted together and the key is tightened, this secures the pieces together.
